easter, it’s one of the first holidays of the much anticipated spring season. It is a chance to dress up in pretty pastels and decorate our homes with the sweetest and most whimsical decor…, baskets used to display flowers, bunnies made out of almost any imaginable material from moss to ceramic to rattan. all the shelves of our favorite home decor stores are lined with the most charming decor.
after my foyer which is the first area i get to make an impression on guest who enter my home, my second favorite place to let my design juices flow when decorating at easter time is with my dining table and easter tablescape.
6 key rules i follow for a simple fuss free yet impactful and visually ‘eggstravegant’ easter tablescape are to
don’t overthink things - keep it light.
play with colors, patterns and textures - Keep it soft and bright
have fun with you tablescape - keep it playful
sometimes less is more when dealing with home decor -keep it simple
flowers are a must - bring the beauty of spring in.
Last but not least, layers make the world a better place so layer that tabletop up (layering doesn’t mean cluttering but is more building from the foundation up, think a pretty runner, charger plate, decorative plates, colored glassware, napkins etc.)
